Tremblant Hotels Winter 2026-27: Club Med Construction, Season Dates and Booking Tips

Winter 2026-27 is shaping up as a turning point for hotels in Mont-Tremblant and the wider Laurentides. Construction has begun on Club Med Tremblant, the resort’s Versant Soleil side is getting a new learning area, and the ski season is planned to open on November 26, 2026. If you are booking a hotel for the holidays, a February ski week or March break, here is what the latest news means for your stay.

Club Med Tremblant: construction under way, opening in 2028

Club Med confirmed this fall that work has started on its ski-in/ski-out all-inclusive resort on Tremblant’s Versant Soleil. The opening is targeted for December 2028. It will be the brand’s second property in Canada, joining Club Med Québec Charlevoix, and it is designed as an upscale mountain resort with alpine-chalet architecture.

For travellers this winter, the project has no direct impact on the main pedestrian village, which sits on the South Side. Versant Soleil is a separate base area served by the Casino Express gondola. Still, expect some construction activity on that side of the mountain and check access notes with your hotel if you plan to park or stay nearby.

The 2026-27 ski season at a glance

  • Planned opening: November 26, 2026.
  • Planned closing: April 18, 2027, for a season of about 143 days.
  • New this winter: a 1.1-acre beginner area at the base of Versant Soleil with a covered magic carpet and full snowmaking.
  • Coming in 2027-28: Timber Summit, eight new trails and the high-speed Timber Express quad, part of a $42.5 million expansion.

How the news affects hotel choices this winter

Families: look at Versant Soleil and the village

The new learning zone is aimed at first-timers and Snow School programs on weekends and peak periods. Families with young skiers may want a hotel or condo-hotel within easy reach of the Casino Express gondola, or a property in the pedestrian village with a free shuttle. Our list of family and pet-friendly hotels in the Laurentides highlights options with kitchenettes and connecting rooms.

Skiers who want first chair: stay slope-side

If you plan to ski every morning, a slope-side address saves time and parking fees. Compare ski-in/ski-out properties in our guide to ski hotels in the Laurentides and the more detailed Mont-Tremblant hotels page.

Budget travellers: widen the search

Holiday rates in the village climb fast. Downtown Mont-Tremblant and Saint-Jovite, about 10 to 15 minutes by car, usually cost less, and Saint-Sauveur offers night skiing closer to Montreal. Read where to stay in Mont-Tremblant to compare areas, or check Saint-Sauveur hotels for shorter drives.

Booking tips for the 2026-27 season

  • Book holiday weeks now. Christmas to New Year’s and Quebec’s spring break weeks are the first to sell out at slope-side hotels.
  • Favour flexible rates in November. Opening day depends on cold nights for snowmaking, so refundable rates make sense for late-November stays.
  • Check what the resort fee includes. Parking, shuttles and Wi-Fi are not always part of the nightly price.
  • Combine ski and spa. Midweek spa packages are often cheaper than weekend stays; see our guide to spa hotels in the Laurentides.

Driving to your hotel: winter rules

Most visitors reach Tremblant by car via Autoroute 15 and Route 117. Winter tires are mandatory in Quebec from December 1 to March 15, including on rental cars, and the Quebec transport ministry issued a reminder on October 19, 2026 that fines range from $200 to $300. Before you leave, check road conditions through Québec.ca’s winter driving information.

Hotel, chalet or package?

Groups of six or more often get better value from a private chalet with a hot tub; browse options on Laurentides Chalets. Travellers coming from other provinces can compare flights and packages on BookingHotel.ca, and if you are adding a night in Montreal, Restaurant Montreal lists where to eat before heading north. FAQ

When will Club Med Tremblant open?

The opening is targeted for December 2028. Construction started in fall 2026 on the Versant Soleil side of the mountain.

When should I book a Tremblant hotel for the holidays?

As early as possible. Slope-side hotels fill quickly for late December and Quebec’s spring break weeks, so booking in October or November gives you the widest choice.

Is it cheaper to stay outside the pedestrian village?

Usually yes. Downtown Mont-Tremblant and Saint-Jovite offer lower rates, but you will need a car or shuttle to reach the lifts each morning.
